Hello!
My name is Lauzia!
I'm a substitute teacher in a special needs high school and I create clothes in my 4 1/2 in Montreal.
As long as we're wearing fabrics, why not wear a piece of art?
My creations come to life between two podcasts and the voice of Dolly Parton.
I think about the multitude of bodies and the variations of curves.
I studied fashion, but it's not that important... I prefer to study the needs of the people around me.
I'm really looking forward to expanding my creative repertoire and dressing more diverse bodies.
But for now, I'm starting slowly.
Because... creating with your own hands, thinking, rethinking, trying again, it's long, very long, but also very beautiful.
Let me introduce myself
-
I want to make clothes that stand the test of time. Pieces that are passed down from generation to generation, without deteriorating too much. Never out of style. That dress you rediscover years later, and love with the same passion. A piece you wear for any occasion without compromising your comfort, and that you dare to wear again in front of the same people simply because you want to.
Multidisciplinary artist favoring the creation of works in two-dimensional format.
My artistic practice is summarized as the interpretation of ideas in the form of illustration which can involve painting, collage, or drawing. It also involves printmaking techniques such as screen printing and engraving and includes different treatments of photographic or videographic images.
The artist behind the photos you see is: Sabrina Derradji-Lesvesque
